This custom steel pig chute was designed and fabricated by JH Tig Works LLC for Mkono Farm in Indiana. The custom livestock handling chute was built specifically for Kunekune pigs and designed to make hoof trimming safer and more efficient. They needed a livestock handling chute that could work with a tractor to make hoof trimming safer and more efficient. You can see the chute in action on Mkono Farm’s Facebook Page.

Because an off-the-shelf chute didn't fit their needs, I designed and fabricated a completely custom system. The chute was built with durable welded steel construction and designed around safe animal handling, easy access, and reliable operation.

The design allows the pig to be safely contained while providing access for hoof trimming and other livestock care. Each component was fabricated specifically for the application rather than adapting a generic livestock chute.
